// Falling Doves head out February 17 for a world tour that will keep them on the road for much of 2020. The tour kicks off in Canberra, Australia taking in Sweden, England, The Ukraine, France, Norway, Scotland, Japan, Mexico and “Grand Fenwick if we can work out our visa’s,” joked frontman Chris Leyva.

// Casey Hensley releases her new album, Good As Gone, on March 30, via German Label, Vizztone Records. The album’s first single, “If I Pray,” is out now.
// Yes, that was Rebecca Jade singing back up for Elton John’s performance of “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again,” at the Oscars on February 9. Ex- Jellyfish / Grays guitarist Jason Falkner was also part of the band.
// Pacific Records News: The Point Loma based label recently released the soundtrack to Guitar Heroes 3, recorded as part of the inaugural Wonderfront Festival. The album features guitarists Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), George Thorogood(George Thorogood & The Destroyers), Warren Haynes (Allman Brothers, Gov’t Mule), Nancy Wilson (Heart), Steve Lukather (Toto), Charlie Starr (Blackberry Smoke) as well as singer Ellis Hall (Tower of Power) and drummer Kenny Aronoff.
// Nominated in the category of “Best Local Recording” for his album Ready to Connect at the 2020 San Diego Music Awards, multi-instrumentalist Sluka, will head out on his first international tour in May, with dates booked in England. He will follow up with more British dates in August on a joint tour with Falling Doves.
// Michael Tiernan will debut his new EP, Trading Cards for the Faithful, at The Belly Up Tavern on March 4. Tiernan is celebrating 12 years and counting as host of original music showcase, “Acoustic Wednesdays” at En Fuego Cantina in Del Mar.
